What is Reiki?

Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” meaning life energy. 


Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-above) energy healing technique. When we’ve been stressed, hurt, or overwhelmed, our energy can get “stuck,” which can leave us feeling heavy, tense, or off-balance.


Reiki helps get your energy moving again so your body and mind can relax and rebalance. It isn’t a replacement for medical care, but many people find it a helpful, calming add-on to their wellness routine—kind of like massage, meditation, or acupuncture.

People commonly say Reiki helps them:

  • Relax more deeply and sleep better.


  • Feel calmer and less anxious.


  • Manage stress more easily.


  • Release tension in the body.
